Please see below some of the International Sporting Bodies we work with.

World Athletics

Sport Resolutions (SR) has been operating the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal which adjudicates on matters referred to it by the Athletics Integrity Unit since 2017.

SR has administered a number of high profile cases before the Disciplinary Tribunal such as those of RusAF officials Dmitry Shlyakhtin and Artur Karamyan, 2019 World 100m champion Christian Coleman and 2019 World 400m Champion Salwa Eid Naser. 

SR is also acting as independent secretariat to World Athletics’ newly established Safeguarding Case Management Group which makes decisions in relation to safeguarding concerns investigated by the Athletics Integrity Unit.

SR also assisted World Athletics in operating an ad hoc panel for its Disciplinary Tribunal for the duration of the 2019, 2022 and 2023 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar; Oregon, USA and Budapest, Hungary.

World Athletics is the international governing body for the sport of athletics, covering track and field, cross country running, road running, racewalking, mountain running, and ultra-running.

Its responsibilities include the standardization of rules and regulations for the sports, certification of athletic facilities, recognition and management of world records, and the organisation and sanctioning of athletics competitions, including the World Athletics Championships.

Athletics Integrity Unit

Sport Resolutions is the independent secretariat to the World Athletics Disciplinary Tribunal which hears and determines all first instance disciplinary cases under the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules and the World Athletics Integrity Code of Conduct.

The Disciplinary Tribunal currently has a panel of 47 tribunal members from 31 different countries covering all six areas recognised by World Athletics.

Through the formation of the Athletics Integrity Unit, athletics has become the first sport internationally to delegate complete authority for the management of its integrity programs to an independent body.

The Athletics Integrity Unit works fully independent of World Athletics, the international governing body for track and field athletics, race walking, road, cross country, mountain, trail and ultra-running. The Athletics Integrity Unit Board has been delegated full authority to oversee the sport’s integrity issues.

International Tennis Federation (ITF)

Sport Resolutions (SR) operates the ITF Independent Tribunal, and acts as its secretariat. The ITF Independent Tribunal is composed of Sport Resolutions panel members.

SR also assists the ITF by operating and administering ad hoc independent tribunals during major events, such as the 2019, 2022 and 2023 Davis Cup Finals, the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals.

The International Tennis Federation is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis. The ITF's governance responsibilities include maintaining and enforcing the rules of tennis, regulating international team competitions, promoting the game, and preserving the sport's integrity via anti-doping and anti-corruption programs.

International Tennis Integrity Agency

Sport Resolutions (SR) operates the ITIA Independent Panel, and acts as its secretariat. The ITIA Independent Panel is composed of Sport Resolutions panel members.

The ITIA is an independent body established in 2021 by the ATP, ITF, WTA and Grand Slams to promote, encourage, enhance and safeguard the integrity of their professional tennis events worldwide.

The ITIA promotes, encourages and safeguards the integrity of professional tennis worldwide by preventing corruption and doping from taking place; investigation and prosecution of offenders and delivering anti-corruption and anti-doping education for players and stakeholders, to recognise and report dishonest activity.

International Testing Agency (ITA)

Through an agreement with the ITA, Sport Resolutions operates the Independent Hearing Panel (IHP), which is available to determine first instance anti-doping matters for International Federations or any other Anti-Doping Organisations wishing to make use of the tribunal.

The agreement has been effective since the new World Anti-Doping Code came into force in January 2021, and the IHP has been referred matters by Olympic and non-Olympic IFs, as well as Regional Anti-Doping Organisations (RADOs).

The International Testing Agency (ITA) is an international organisation constituted in the form of a non-profit foundation and based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The ITA was set up in 2018 at the initiative of the Olympic Movement and with the support of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

The ITA manages independent anti-doping programs on behalf of sporting authorities. It is currently leading anti-doping efforts for more than 45 organisations, including International Federations of Olympic sports and leading event organisers. 

Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI)

Sport Resolutions conducted an independent investigation into an ethics related matter of a sensitive nature.

Founded in 1900 in Paris (France), the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) is the worldwide governing body for cycling. It develops and oversees cycling in all its forms, for all people: as a competitive sport, a healthy recreational activity, a means of transport, and also just for fun. The UCI manages and promotes the eight cycling disciplines: road, track, mountain bike, BMX Racing, BMX Freestyle, cyclo-cross, trials and indoor cycling. Five of these are featured on the Olympic Games programme (road, track, mountain bike, BMX Supercross and BMX Freestyle Park), two in the Paralympic Games (road and track) and four in the Youth Olympic Games (road, mountain bike, BMX Supercross and BMX Freestyle Park).

World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association

Sport Resolutions has been asked to appoint panels and act as secretariat in integrity-related arbitrations brought by and against the WPBSA.

The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) is the world governing body for the sports of snooker and billiards. The WPBSA has a wide range of functions that it is responsible for including global sports development; professional player support and representation; governance and integrity; rules and technical; grassroots and amateur sport development and coach development and referee training.

Women Tennis Association

Sport Resolutions conducted independent investigations for the Women Tennis Association. 

The Women Tennis Association (WTA) is one of the world’s most recognizable and high-profile sports organizations, consisting of more than 1650 players representing approximately 85 nations, all competing to earn WTA rankings points and prestigious tournament titles. The WTA Tour comprises of over 50 events and four Grand Slams, spanning six continents and nearly 30 countries and regions with a global audience of over 700 million.

World Triathlon

Sport Resolutions provides safeguarding services to World Triathlon, and is tasked with the provision of complaints management and investigation services within the context of World Triathlon’s Safeguarding Policy. 

World Triathlon, previously known as the International Triathlon Union, is the international governing body for the multi-sport disciplines of triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and other nonstandard variations. It is recognised as the international federation for the sport of triathlon and its derivatives by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and it organises Olympic triathlon events on behalf of the IOC.

In addition to regulating and setting the rules of the sport, World Triathlon organises the top-level international race series the World Triathlon Championship Series and the ITU Triathlon World Cup.

Rugby League International Federation

Sport Resolutions was asked to constitute panels to adjudicate on anti-doping matters. 

As the global governing body for the sport of Rugby League, the role of International Rugby League (IRL) is to foster, develop, promulgate, promote, govern and administer the game of rugby league throughout the world.

International Motorcycling Federation

Sport Resolutions acts as independent secretariat and administers proceedings in accordance with the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Anti-Doping Code.

Founded in 1904 in Paris and currently based in Mies (Switzerland), the FIM is the international organisation acting in all matters connected with motorcycling activities (sporting & non-sporting) and defending the rights and interests of motorcycle users and industry. It represents 118 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions. 

The FIM is the supreme and sole international authority empowered to control international motorcycling events organised under its jurisdiction throughout the world and is recognised by the International Olympic Committee as the sole competent authority in motorcycle sport. 

World Netball

Sport Resolutions provides mediation and dispute resolution services to World Netball pursuant to its dispute regulations and disciplinary rules. 

World Netball is the sole, internationally recognised, governing body for Netball, affiliated to the International World Games Association and the Association of Recognised Sports Federations (ARISF), receiving funding from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

Currently, 79 National Netball Associations are affiliated to World Netball grouped into 5 Regions – Africa, Asia, Americas, Europe and Oceania – each with a respective Regional Federation. Regional Federations are an integral part of the global governance structure and assist in the implementation of World Netball policies and the development of the sport in their respective regions.

International Cricket Council (ICC)

Sport Resolutions provided mediation services for the ICC. 

The ICC is the global governing body for cricket. Representing 106 members, the ICC governs and administrates the game and works with our members to grow the sport. The ICC is also responsible for the staging of all ICC Events.

The ICC presides over the ICC Code of Conduct, playing conditions, the Decision Review System and other ICC regulations. The ICC also appoints all match officials that officiate at all sanctioned international matches. Through the Anti-Corruption Unit it coordinates action against corruption and match fixing.

Badminton World Federation

Sport Resolutions is acting as Badminton World Federation (BWF)’s Independent Appointment Body, which sources and recommends for approval members of the Independent Vetting Panel and Independent Hearing Panel. Sport Resolutions has also appointed Vetting Officers to support the Independent Vetting Panel in the vetting processes.

The BWF is recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) as the world governing body for badminton. The International Badminton Federation, as it was originally called, was established in London, on 5 July 1934 with nine founding member associations. The BWF is a federation of 196 members and is now based in Malaysia.

Federation Equestre Internationale

Sport Resolutions appointed an investigator to undertake an investigation into reports made by a member of the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI).

The FEI was created just over 100 years ago to oversee the Olympic disciplines of Jumping, Dressage and Eventing with just 8 member signatories. Today, alongside the Olympic disciplines, the FEI also governs the non-Olympic disciplines of Driving, Endurance, Vaulting and Reining as well as the Para Equestrian disciplines of Dressage and Driving and has 137 member National Federations.

International Ski and Snowboard Federation

Sport Resolutions is the independent secretariat to the Federation Internationale de Ski et Snowboard (FIS)’s Ethics Commission.

The FIS is the governing body for international skiing and snowboarding, founded in 1924 during the first Olympic Games in Chamonix, France. Recognised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), FIS manages the Olympic disciplines of Alpine Skiing, Cross-Country Skiing, Ski Jumping, Nordic Combined, Freestyle Skiing and Snowboarding, including setting the international competition rules.

World Sailing

World Sailing regularly refers matters to Sport Resolutions on ad hoc basis to act as independent registrar to its internal dispute resolution bodies (eg. Ethics Board, Judicial Board). 

World Sailing is the world governing body for the sport of sailing and responsible for the promotion of the sport internationally; managing sailing at the Olympic and Paralympic Games; developing the Racing Rules of Sailing and regulations for all sailing competitions; the training of judges, umpires and other administrators; the development of the sport around the world; and representing the sailors in all matters concerning the sport.

World Boxing

Sport Resolutions (SR) is providing independent panel and secretariat services to carry out functions pursuant to World Boxing rules along with its statutes and policies. SR was also tasked with appointing an Independent Vetting Panel and supporting its functions in the lead-up to the inaugural World Boxing Congress.

World Boxing has been established by a group of individuals from a number of National Federations across the world in response to the persistent issues surrounding Olympic-style boxing’s governance.

International Federation of American Football

Sport Resolutions operates an independent anti-doping tribunal for the International Federation of American Football (IFAF).

The IFAF is the international governing body of American Football associations. The IFAF oversees the organisation and promotion of all amateur international competitions across both contact and non contact versions of the game, including the IFAF World Championship of American Football. 

European Rugby League

Sport Resolutions conducted an independent investigation for the ERL which looked into allegations of discrimination.

The European Rugby League (ERL) is the umbrella body for nations playing the sport of rugby league football across Europe, North & Central America, the Middle East and Africa. Previously known as the Rugby League European Federation (RLEF), the ERL oversees and co-ordinates the development of the sport in all its Member and Affiliated countries and territories, as well as neighbouring organisations that choose to link to the ERL.

World Archery

Sport Resolutions conducted an independent investigation for World Archery into an ethics and governance related matter. 

World Archery is the international governing body for the sport of archery. Its mission is to promote and regulate archery worldwide, developing the sport with over 160 member associations through international events, development initiatives and marketing and endorsed by the International Olympic Committee, International Paralympic Committee and International World Games Association, among others.

It is responsible for setting the rules and regulations for international archery events, organising the World Archery Championships and for the sport at the Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and World Games.

International Weightlifting Federation (IWF)

Between 2021 and 2022, Sport Resolutions (SR) operated the Eligibility Determination Panel (EDP) of the IWF which undertook eligibility determination of candidates for election to the IWF Board and committees in respect of their 2021 elections.

SR also acted as independent secretariat to the IWF Ethics and Disciplinary Commission (EDC), in addition to operating the Independent Investigatory Chamber (IIC), tasked with investigating integrity-related breaches and complaints brought to the EDC. The EDP and IIC were both independently appointed by SR.

The International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) is a permanent non-profit organization composed of 192 affiliated National Federations worldwide, from all five Continents. Weightlifting was one of the first sports included already in the first Modern Olympic Games 1896.

The IWF was founded in 1905, being one of the oldest International Sport Federations and is the world controlling body for weightlifting.

World Karate Federation

The International Testing Agency (ITA) has been supporting the World Karate Federation (WKF) with the delivery of their anti-doping program.

Sport Resolutions operates the International Hearing Panel (IHP) set up by the ITA since January 2021 and the IHP determined two WKF anti-doping cases in 2021, with one being heard on an expedited basis.

The WKF is the largest international governing body of sport karate with 198 member countries. It was formed in 1990, is the only karate organization recognised by the International Olympic Committee and has more than ten million members. The WKF organizes the Junior and Senior Karate World Championships, which are each held every other year.

The President of the WKF is Antonio Espinos, and the headquarters are located in Madrid, Spain.

Ju-Jitsu International Federation

The International Testing Agency (ITA) has been supporting the Ju-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) with the delivery of their anti-doping program.

Sport Resolutions operates the International Hearing Panel (IHP) established in January 2021 by agreement with the ITA and is available to independently administer and adjudicate on JJIF doping cases.

The JJIF is an international sport federation founded in 1998 after the expansion of the European Ju-Jitsu Federation for the propagation of the modern competitive sports version of Jujitsu, also known as Sport Ju-Jitsu.

As a member of the General Association of International Sport Federations (GAISF) and the International World Games Association (IWGA), the JJIF represents Sports Ju-Jitsu worldwide. The JJIF is currently the only Jujutsu/Ju-Jitsu organisation recognized by the GAISF and the International World Games Association (IWGA). Ju-Jitsu under JJIF rules is a part of the World Games and World Combat Games.
