The National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) has banned Rugby Union player Kurt Clabby for four years for Evading Sample Collection.
On 1st December 2015 Mr Clabby was informed that he was required to provide a sample for the purposes of testing by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD). Mr Clabby, who was present at the venue having completed a training session with Bedwas RFC, did not report to Doping Control.
Mr Clabby was charged with ‘Evading, Refusing or Failing to Submit to Sample Collection’ pursuant to Article 2.3 of the UK Anti-Doping Rules (ADR).
The NADP Tribunal of Mr Jeremy Summers (Chair), Dr Barry O’Driscoll and Dr Mike Irani were comfortably satisfied that the athlete had committed an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) and as such, imposed a period of four years’ ineligibility on the athlete.
Mr Clabby's ban will run from 28 January 2016 until 28 January 2020.
