Following the retesting of Mr Townsend’s ‘A’ Sample taken on the 5th September 2015, a second charge was brought by UKAD for the presence of EPO, and the panel reconvened on the 26th September 2016.

Townsend, a cyclist, is suspended from all sport for a period of four years, from 8th October 2015 until 7th October 2019 to run concurrent with the sanction imposed in respect of the First Charge.
