A decision in the matter of World Athletics* v Ms Ruth Jebet has been issued by the Disciplinary Tribunal.
On 20th February 2018 Ms Jebet was charged by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) for violations of the IAAF Anti-Doping Rules, namely Article 2.1 Presence of a Prohibited Substance or its Metabolites or Markers in an Athlete’s Sample and Article 2.2 Use or Attempted Use by an Athlete of a Prohibited Substance or a Prohibited Method.
The panel, consisting of Michael Beloff QC, Monty Hacker and Dennis Koolaard found that the Athlete had committed an anti-doping rule violation pursuant to Article 2.1 of the 2017 IAAF Anti-Doping Rules and imposed a four-year period of ineligibility.
