British Gymnastics is looking for a Welfare & Safe Sport Director to work across the organisation and with the gymnastics community to support welfare and safe gymnastics environments. The focus will be on a positive and person-centred approach, ensuring the welfare of all involved is paramount in our approach and thinking. 

The successful candidate will bring real focus and practical expertise to this critical area; build strong and effective relationships with influencers across the business, ensuring a holistic approach and working with and through the community, with gymnasts, coaches, clubs, parents and volunteers to support environments where everyone understand what is needed and people feel safe and empowered to speak up if there are areas of concern, knowing they will be listened to and action will be taken. 

A key aim for this role is to play a strategic leadership role across the organisation, collaborating in the delivery of Reform 25 (British Gymnastics' action plan to the Anne Whyte recommendations as part of their commitment to changing the sport for the better by working together to create safe, positive and fair experiences for all in gymnastics) to ensure everyone understands British Gymnastics’ role in supporting welfare and safe sport environments.
