A decision in the case of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) against Adeline Bervoux has been issued by the ITF Independent Panel. Sport Resolutions is the independent secretariat to the Independent Panel.

On 5 November 2019, the ITF issued Ms Bervoux with a Notice of Charge for the Presence of acetazolamide in a Sample collected In-Competition on 24 September 2019.

An Independent Tribunal was appointed to determine this matter, comprised of Robert Englehart QC (Chair), Professor Peter Sever and Dr Despina Mavromati.

The Tribunal found that an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) had been committed by Ms Bervoux under Article 2.1 of the Tennis Anti-Doping Programme. The Tribunal did not find any evidence to suggest that the violation was intentional, but as Ms Bervoux could not establish that she bore No Significant Fault or Negligence for her violation, she was accordingly sanctioned with a 2 year period of Ineligibility commencing on 20 November 2020.
