Sport Resolutions and UK Sport are delighted to present a joint initiative for funded National Governing Bodies on independent panel members

We are delighted to announce that UK Sport and Sport Resolutions (SR) have developed an initiative to support National Governing Bodies (NGBs) in running disciplinary and grievance processes.

Sport Resolutions will provide NGBs with the opportunity to request assistance from independent members of SR's Development Panel of Arbitrators when administering internal disciplinary and grievance proceedings, for appointment to the internal decision-making body, including to chair hearings.

UK Sport and SR recognise that NGBs may not have a pool of independent individuals with expert skill-sets to call upon to sit on a disciplinary panel. This may be due to the size of the NGB and the resource available to recruit independent members. The appointments of the panel members through this initiative will be made on a pro bono basis. UK Sport and SR are grateful to those members of SR's Panel for their support of this important service.

NGBs that are funded by UK Sport will be able to access SR’s Development Panel. The case must concern an individual and/or incident relating to the NGB’s World Class Programme.

A document outlining the purpose of the service as well as the request form can be accessed via the related documents tab on the right-hand side.
