Sport Resolutions to provide independent services to Badminton World Federation

Sport Resolutions to provide independent services to Badminton World Federation

We are delighted to confirm that Sport Resolutions (SR) has entered into an agreement with Badminton World Federation (BWF) to provide a variety of independent support services.

SR will be acting as the Independent Appointment Body (IAB) of the BWF, as provided for within its rules. The IAB;

  • will source and recommend individuals for appointment to BWF Panels, namely the Independent Vetting Panel and Independent Hearing Panel. This will also include any arising vacancies on an ad hoc basis.
  • will appoint Vetting Officer(s) to administer the process to be followed to determine the eligibility of relevant persons and support the work of the Independent Vetting Panel.

BWF Secretary General, Thomas Lund said:

BWF is delighted to partner with a reputable provider in Sport Resolutions. Good governance is a top priority for the Federation as we look to further build upon our high standards. Having an Independent Appointment Body ensures that the BWF’s disciplinary and vetting processes operate more independently from the organisation moving forward.”

SR Chief Executive Richard Harry said:

Sport Resolutions is delighted to be providing a variety of support services for Badminton World Federation. Independence, integrity and expertise are highly valued in our sector and Sport Resolutions is synonymous with these principles. We are privileged to add BWF to our growing list of international clients and we very much look forward to assisting it on the journey ahead.
