UK Coaching to become a member of Sport Resolutions

We are delighted to announce that UK Coaching has become a member of Sport Resolutions. The membership of the company represents stakeholders in sport including athletes, governing bodies, coaches and sponsors.

Members make a valuable contribution to the success of Sport Resolutions, promoting its services to their own membership, believing in the same values and sharing common strategic objectives.

UK Coaching, the only independent representative body for coaches in the UK, will bring insight and the perspective of this key stakeholder group. It engages and communicates with coaches to help shape coaching practice and policy, as well as acting as the collective voice.

Richard Harry, Sport Resolutions Chief Executive Officer, said “I am delighted that UK Coaching is now a member of Sport Resolutions. We aim to improve integrity and fairness in all sport, and it is right that the voice of the coach is involved in this important work.”

Mark Gannon, UK Coaching Chief Executive Officer, said: “At UK Coaching our purpose is to be here for the coach and therefore we are proud to be joining Sport Resolutions as the representative of the coaching workforce. We champion a vision where everyone in physical activity and sport should be safe from harm, whether a participant, administrator, official, or coach. As we all know, challenges can and do arise.

Sport Resolutions, offering a dedicated service, steps in to address these specific issues with the aim of finding effective solutions. More importantly, it is critical we learn from such incidents, striving to put the necessary measures and practices in place to avoid further occurrences. As UK Coaching, we proudly stand as the voice of coaches, representing their dedication and passion. Together, with Sport Resolutions, we will work to ensure secure, thriving environments for all."

UK Coaching will be the latest addition to the list of member organisations including the British Olympic Association, the British Paralympic Association, the British Elite Athlete Association, the Northern Ireland Sports Forum, the Welsh Sports Association, the Scottish Sports Association, the Sport and Recreation Alliance, the European Sponsorship Association and the Professional Players Federation.
