World Athletics v Taye Girma Arit

A decision in the case of World Athletics against Taye Girma Arit has been issued by the Disciplinary Tribunal.

The Disciplinary Tribunal, consisting of Nick De Marco QC, Dominique Gavage and Daniel Cravo Souza determined that an Anti-Doping Rule Violation had been established pursuant to Articles 2.1 and 2.2 and as a result, a five (5) years and four (4) month period of Ineligibility was applicable. Mr Arit’s competition results obtained at the 2021 Ethiopian Championships and since 6 April 2021 shall be disqualified.
