UK Anti-Doping v Victoria Ohuruogu

UK Anti-Doping v Victoria Ohuruogu

A decision in the case of UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) against Victoria Ohuruogu has been issued by the National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP).

Following an investigation by UKAD and a hearing before the independent NADP, British sprinter Victoria Ohuruogu has been cleared of an Anti-Doping Rule Violation (ADRV) charge for Prohibited Association (ADR Article 2.10). Consequently, she is now eligible to participate in sports.

The NADP tribunal, comprised of Mark Hovell (Chair), Colin Murdock and Lorraine Johnson determined that no ADRV was found.

At Ms. Ohuruogu's request and with her consent, UKAD announced the dismissal of the charge against her by the NADP. Please note that the typical procedure is to not publicly disclose the outcome of “No ADRV” cases, in accordance with the confidentiality rules (as outlined in ADR Article 8.5.2).

The National Anti-Doping Panel is the United Kingdom’s independent tribunal responsible for adjudicating anti-doping disputes in sport. It is operated by Sport Resolutions and is entirely independent of UK Anti-Doping who is responsible for investigating, charging, and prosecuting cases before the NADP.
