Webinar | Case Management for Safeguarding Adults in Sport

Webinar | Case Management for Safeguarding Adults in Sport

The Safeguarding Adults in Sport Framework supports National Governing Bodies of Sports, Active Partnerships, UK Sport Organisations and Sport England System Partners to implement best practice in safeguarding adults and identify any gaps or areas of practice that need development.

When working through the Framework, organisations must submit evidence indicating where and how they meet the criteria for each theme. Sport Resolutions, in association with the Ann Craft Trust, will be holding a webinar to discuss and explain the requirements of the Framework, with particular reference to section 6, “Managing Safeguarding Adult Cases”.

The purpose of this event is to assist NGBs with the Framework process and to provide practical guidance on how to embed the safeguarding of adults into policy and procedure. The session will also include guidance from Sport Resolutions about the practicalities of running a robust case management process.

The event will take place online on Tuesday 23rd April 2024 between 10-11am and is aimed at Lead Safeguarding Officers of UK Sport and NGBs.

Emma Gibson from the Ann Craft Trust and Richard Harry from Sport Resolutions will be delivering the webinar.

While this event is free of charge, registration is required. Please register via the Eventbrite widget below.

The event will cover:

  • ACT’s Strategy to Safeguard Adults
  • How the Framework works
  • Guidance on requirements
  • How to complete the relevant criteria including the evidence NGBs will need to submit
  • Some useful tips for effective case management systems
  • Considering mediation as an alternative dispute resolution

The event will also provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions.
