A decision in the case of the International Association of Athletics Federations (the IAAF, now known as World Athletics) against Sarah Chepchirchir has been issued by the Disciplinary Tribunal.

On 6 February 2019 the Athletics Integrity Unit issued Ms Chepchirchir a Notice of Charge for abnormal ABP values in her Athlete Biological Passport.

Yves Fortier QC, the Panel Chair acting as sole arbitrator, determined that an anti-doping rule violation (ADRV) was established pursuant to Article 2.2 of the IAAF Rules, and as a result, a four-year period of ineligibility is applicable. The ADRV also leads to the disqualification of Ms Chepchirchir’s results from 11 April 2018 to 6 February 2019

Sport Resolutions acts as secretariat to the IAAF Disciplinary Tribunal.
