The independent Club Financial Review Panel (CFRP) has issued its decision in the matter between Leicester City Football Club (LCFC) and the Club Financial Reporting Unit (CFRU) of the EFL.
The matter was referred to the CFRP by LCFC, who were challenging an adjustment made by the CFRU to the Club’s Salary Cost Management Protocol (SCMP) Calculation, which had resulted in LCFC forecasting a breach of the permitted spending requirements.
The CFRP rejected LCFC's appeal, finding that the CFRU did not act ultra vires, unreasonably or irrationally and their decision was upheld.
