International
Our reviews service offers international federations an independent way to examine internal processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with governance obligations, international regulations, and best practice standards.
The service provides an objective assessment, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and actionable recommendations for improvement.
Our reviews service includes:
- Appointing a suitably experienced member from our international panel to lead the review.
- Support and guidance in setting clear, proportionate Terms of Reference tailored to the federation’s international context.
- Acting as the independent secretariat to the review, ensuring the process is conducted efficiently, on time, within budget, and independently from the commissioning federation.
- Administrative support to the reviewer, including arranging interviews, meetings, and coordination across different time zones or locations.
By commissioning Sport Resolutions, international federations can be confident they are receiving an independent, professional, and expert service aligned with global governance principles and expectations from international regulatory bodies.
Areas of review include:
- Handling of staff or official disciplinary matters, including cross-border or multi-jurisdictional issues.
- Handling of complaints by boards, committees, or governing bodies.
- Allegations made against boards, senior management, or key decision-makers.
- Governance structures, decision-making processes, and oversight mechanisms across the federation and its member associations.
Our panel comprises members with a wide range of expertise relevant to the global sport sector. Depending on the nature of the review, Sport Resolutions will nominate individuals with the requisite international experience.
We provide independent administrative support to the appointed reviewer(s), which may include contacting contributors, collating background documentation and evidence, managing confidentiality and consents, arranging interviews, sourcing transcripts, and coordinating translation or interpreting services when required.
Terms of Business will be agreed at the outset to define the contractual arrangements and scope of the review. A review plan or Terms of Reference outlining the scope of the review will also be drafted and approved by the commissioning federation, with regular updates provided throughout the process.
