Sport Resolutions to administer the Commonwealth Sport Federation Court at Glasgow 2026
Sport Resolutions (SR) will once again support Commonwealth Sport (CS) by administering the CS Federation Court and Independent Tribunal for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games. The Federation Court will provide an independent mechanism for resolving disputes that arise during the Games, including disciplinary, anti-doping, eligibility, safeguarding, and selection-related matters.
Should a case be referred to the Federation Court or Independent Tribunal, Sport Resolutions will facilitate the appointment of an independent panel to consider and determine the matter fairly, efficiently, and in accordance with the applicable Games rules and procedures.
The Federation Court and Independent Tribunal is comprised of members of Sport Resolutions’ highly regarded Panel from fifteen Commonwealth countries (Australia, Canada, England, Fiji, India, Kenya, Malta, New Zealand, Nigeria, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago and Wales). Collectively, panel members bring extensive experience across sports law, dispute resolution, safeguarding, anti-doping, governance, and integrity matters.
The SR-administered Federation Court will operate remotely and be active from 19 July 2026 to 4 August 2026.
Where safeguarding concerns arise, Sport Resolutions’ independent safeguarding investigators and decision-makers with specialist expertise will also be available to support the fair and effective management of safeguarding-related matters.
In addition, Sport Resolutions’ Pro Bono Service will provide access to specialist sports lawyers to support participants who require independent legal assistance during the Games.
